CAPE TO VIC FALLS
This tour will start in Cape Town, South Africa and take you through Namibia, Botswana and into Livingstone, Zambia. You will start your journey at the extra-ordinary wonder that is Table Mountain and end at the magnificent wonder of the Victoria Falls. We journey through the oldest desert in the world with some of the highest sand dunes and the last week of the journey is spent close to the Okavango River, the Chobe River and then the Zambezi River. Experience the heavens and the earth on this tour.
CAPE TO VIC FALLS
Day 1: Cape Town
Cape Town lies at the foot of Table Mountain. This town is one of the most beautiful in the world.
Day 2: Cape Town
Enjoy a tour of the Cape Peninsula. This drive with its’ awesome views are breath-taking. Cape Point is the most south-western tip of the African continent.
Day 3: Cape Town to Cederberg
The Cederberg mountain range is known for its fantastic, natural rock formations, sculptured by the elements of nature. It also has many San rock-art painting sites.
Day4: Cederberg to Orange River
Tonight we will lay our heads to rest at the banks of the Orange River, the longest river in South Africa.
Day 5: Orange River to Fish River
Whether it’s the 2nd or the 3rd or even if it is the 10th largest canyon in the world, the Fish River Canyon is a sight to behold.
Day 6: Fish River Canyon to Namib Desert
We have a long drive ahead of us. The Namib Desert is the oldest desert in the world. One can find even the desert a fascinating place.
Day 7: Sesriem/Sossus
We will explore the desert closer. We will climb the magnificent Dune 45 and really try to understand and get into the life of this empty place.
Day 8: Namib to Swakopmund
Swakopmund is a coastal town. You will see the German impact in this town.
Day 9: Swakopmund
We will do a dolphin cruise in the morning, from Walvis Bay. The rest of the day will be free time.
Day 10: Brandberg
We will visit the seals at Cape Cross and then do a late afternoon hike in the Brandberg mountains, to the famous white lady San painting.
Day 11: White Lady to Kamanjab
Twyfelfontein is famous for its’ San ‘Bushmen’ carvings. The Petrified Forest are trees that turned into rocks millions of years ago and was carried down to its’ present area through the forces of nature.
Day 12: Kamanjab to Etosha National Park
Today we enjoy a Himba experience at a local Himba settlement and do a game drive through Etosha National Park.
Day 13: Etosha National Park
We will do a morning game drive and an afternoon game drive across this saltpan.
Day 14: Etosha National Park to Grootfontein
After lunch we continue to our next destination, which is a little north of Grootfontein.
Day 15: San Excursion
Today we enjoy what the life of the San People was like. We get to visit an old San ‘village’. Return to our accommodations.
Day 16: Grootfontein to Okavango River
Drive to Okavango. Depending on arrival you can explore the area, the humor. We are now in a more dense area of Namibia. This is the north of Namibia and from here on the journey changes.
Day 17: Okavango River
Today it will be an all day activities: ½ day on the river with the mokoros, including visiting a local village and then an afternoon game drive.
Day 18: Okavango to Maun/Gweta
Leave early & fly from Sakawe over the complete Okavango Delta. The driver will collect us at Maun after the flight. We drive to Gweta, where you will spend the night.
Day 19: Gweta to Kasane
Drive to Kasane and spend the night at the Thebe lodge on the banks of the Chobe river.
Day 20: Kasane
Enjoy a very early morning game drive and an afternoon boat ride on Chobe river.
Day 21: Kasane to Zambia
You cross the border into Zambia this morning and will then proceed to Livingstone. In the afternoon we’ll visit the Victoria waterfalls.
Day 22: – Livingstone
Spend this day free to do whatever activities you would enjoy.
Day 23: – Livingstone to JHB to Home
This morning we will fly back to JHB and then back to HOME in the evening.
